Final Leadership Assessment

At the end of Grade 10, we assessed ourselves the last times on the skills that are necessary for leadership so that we can see our growth overtime.

This was how I started off at the beginning of the year. I did not have much self-discipline back then because I was new to the school, I did not build a strong schedule or discipline plan for myself so I was kinda lost in this category.

My creativity and action-taking were not very good either, so this gave me space and opportunity for growth. I felt that I am fairly aware because I am an introvert and I tent to observe more than talk, so I am aware of what's happening around me.

This was me and the end of the first term. Sadly I did not develop much in self-discipline, this is probably because the content we learned that time did not relate much to discipline,

I had a lot of growth in action-taking and creativity because Leading with others class had the content of nurturing creativity that helps me a lot. Around this time, a lot of school activities started to I had more opportunities to practice action-tacking. My connecting ability got a bit worse because I talked to less people, which lessen my chance of understanding them.

Finally, this was how I assessed myself at the end of the year!

There was a lot of growth in creativity because in the second term, we had so many opportunities to practice creativity: Thinking about project week, creating our company after project week, CAS activities, Big group - effective team activity, Story-telling activity. All of them encouraged me to dig deeper and think about things around me in a creative way.

I also gained so much more knowledge in self-discipline. Partly was because Leading self class was always constantly helping me practice mindfulness, but I also got more responsible in myself. I created a spreadsheet to track my daily progress.

I got more connecting with people because through class activities, i had to talk a lot with them and have fun with them and understand them more. I also interviewed a lot of people for my Leading with others Big project so this was also a chance for me to connect.

I became genuinely interested in issues revolving around me so this naturally improves my side of awareness. Whenever I become aware of things, I try to take action so this mindset helps me develop in action-taking.
