Mindfulness practice
Practicing mindfulness was one of the first lessons in the Leading self course.
The main goal of mindfulness practice is to help us stick to our anchor, calm ourselves at times of hardship and overcome internal challenges.
Up till now, the main mindfulness practice of the program involves:
- body scan: listening to 10-minute audio body scan each day and notice the changes in your body. This exercise helps boost your attention span and ability to focus considerably. It is also a very placid way to relax your mind after stressful hours of working.
- ANTs: becoming aware of automatic negative thoughts by journaling down every time you experience discomfort and have negative thoughts popping up in your head. In this sense, you can review your progress over a period of time and avoid having ANTs repetitively.
